Fall Into Fashion: This Season's Top 6 Trends (for the ladies)

Now that the temps are falling, we can finally unpack those cozy fall sweaters and boots! But, as happy as I am to rediscover my favorite pieces from seasons past – there is nothing better than a little update to freshen-up and flesh-out your fall wardrobe. Incorporating just one or two of this Fall’s top trends will make your whole outfit look brand new:

1) The Color: Oxblood
Whether you call it oxblood, burgundy, or cabernet- this dark purplish/red is the color of the season. Invest in cords, trousers, a skirt, or clutch to showcase this hue.

2) The Footwear: Booties
After going mainstream last fall, the bootie is here to stay. Suede, leather, dark, light, brown, or black, a great pair will bring that “moto” vibe to your look while keeping it classy.

3) The Print: Buffalo Plaid
Although plaid has been a quintessential aspect of fall ever since one of the first lumberjack discovered the benefits of a plaid flannel shirt (Paul Bunyan, maybe?), its gone large scale this season and a grand buffalo check will bring that avant-garde element to your look.

4) The Top: The Embellished Sweatshirt
Sweatshirts have escaped their comfort zone and runaway with the bedazzler. Whether jeweled, sequined, or embroidered -these sweatshirts are aiming for a skirt pairing.

5) The Bottom: The Midi-Skirt
So long pencil, farewell mini, there is a new skirt in town. Whether full or sheath, the midi-length skirt is this Fall’s new-comer. Make sure to pair it with heels to keep frumpiness at bay and stock up (this one is certainly office appropriate!)Midi

6) The Classic: Leopard Print
Fall’s reliable constant: leopard print returns and hopes to envelope your accessories. Best in small doses; choose flats, heels, a bag or clutch to easily incorporate this trend into your fall outfits for years to come.
