Democratic Law Caucus Seeks to Get Out the Vote

By: Kristen Ross

It’s an exciting year for the Democratic Law Caucus not only because of the presidential election in November but because we have a great group of enthusiastic students. We held our first meeting last Tuesday and discussed goals for the upcoming year. Some goals that the group chose were to do some campaign invasions in Pennsylvania, voter registration booths here at school, close the semester with a fun tailgate, and hopefully host a lecture on Voter Suppression Laws. Last week, the DNC was held all week in Charlotte, NC. Members of the Caucus watched anxiously as Barack Obama accepted the Democratic nomination on behalf of himself and Vice President Joe Biden. Look for information coming soon about the Get Out The Vote (GOTV) initiative we will join in Pennsylvania! We have a busy year ahead but we are determined to get out the vote!
