Biography
Professional experience: 10 years of experience as a head track/cross country coach in Division II Athletics. Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach, Fairmont State University (present, part-time position). Previous experience in public relations/marketing and communications roles at the University of Virginia (University News Associate, Social Media Specialist), West Virginia University College of Law (Public Relations Specialist, 2014-2016), and Fairmont State University (Digital Communications Specialist).
Outside WVU Law: Running, writing, cats, and matcha! I ran track and cross country here at WVU and continue to run road races to this day. I qualified for and participated in the Boston Marathon in 2024 and am currently training for the 2025 Chicago Marathon. When I’m not training for my own endeavors or coaching my team at Fairmont State, I’m serving as the President of the Marion County Running and Walking Club. In my spare time, I am also a freelance writer for Morgantown Magazine and WV Living Magazine. On weekends, I love to curl up on the couch with my cats or travel to a new city in search of the best matcha latte I can find!
