Edmund Glabus

Edmund M. Glabus is executive director of The Veterans ConsortiumPro Bono Program (The Veterans Consortium), a non-profitorganization funded by the U.S. Congress to provide every qualifying veteran and their families, caregivers, and survivors legal representation before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims at no charge.


In addition to supporting full-time staff and volunteers,Glabus is a veterans advocate. The Veterans Consortium recruits volunteer attorneys to represent appellants before the Court without charge; screens cases so that pro bono representation is provided in cases with merit; and offers comprehensive training in the field of veterans law, mentoring, and support to a volunteer corps of over 500 attorneys and associated professionals across the United States. 


The Veterans Consortium was founded in 1992 in response to a request by the Court that led to a Congressionally-created program administered by the Legal Services Corporation. Since its inception as a 501(c)(3) non-profit enterprise, The Veterans Consortium has assisted more than 12,000 veterans or their qualified family members and has trained over 3,500 volunteer attorneys. Previously, Glabus was a business unit general manager at ManTech International, a firm with 8,000 employees worldwide and award-winning veterans programs. In 2014 he was privileged to lead the unit's 1,000 associates in delivering over $250 million in mission solutions and services to federal, state, and local governments. Glabus was also a director and officer for several ManTech subsidiaries and joint ventures. 


Prior to that, Glabus completed a number of assignments at ManTech including EVP to the president of the 3,300-employee cyber & intelligence group, corporate chief administrative officer, and corporate chief strategy officer where he supervised strategic planning and the integration of mergers and acquisitions forManTech, and led or managed the integrations of five firms. From 2007-2013 he also was the firm's executive sponsor for outreach to military veterans, helping ManTech achieve and sustain a 45 percent veteran workforce while receiving numerous awards as an Employer of Choice for veterans. 


Before that Glabus was the chief operating officer for a 1,400-person ManTech subsidiary firm. Glabus joined ManTech in 2002 when it acquired Aegis Research Corporation,where he was a core member of the management team that grew the firm from 50 people when he joined to over 500 people when the transaction closed. From 1992 to 2002, he performed a variety of roles at Aegis Research including operations, business development and a spin-offtech venture. Glabus joined Aegis Research after serving on military active duty.


Glabus is a veteran whose more than 20-year Regular Army, National Guard and Army Reserve career included various command and staff tours in the U.S. and overseas. Glabus has been stationed in, deployed to or lived abroad as a civilian in Australia, Djibouti, Dominican Republic,El Salvador, Germany, Panama, Qatar and Switzerland. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command & General Staff College. 


Glabus earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, completed the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business mini MBA Certificate program, graduated from the CFP®curriculum through NEFE's College for Financial Planning, passed the NASD Series 65 Uniform Investment Advisor Law Examination, and has attended executive education at Harvard Business School. Glabus also is on the boards of directors for the non-profit enterprises Per Scholas and Sights Unseen, and a member of the President's Council for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington.
