Favorite law school memory

One of my favorite law school memories was participating in the 1L Lugar trial competition. As a new experience, preparing for and participating in the mock trials presented many challenges and allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone. At the same time, the competition was fun and was one of the first times I realized how enjoyable and fulfilling my future education and career in the law could be.

An honorable mention favorite memory I'd also like to include is playing intramural and pick-up basketball with my classmates. Not only was this a fun reprieve from our studies, but it also allowed me to develop some friendships around another aspect of my life that's important to me.

Inspiration

I chose to go to law school in order to pursue a career that would be intellectually challenging, involve new and unique problems and issues, and allow me to make meaningful contributions to my community.

Special thanks

I would most like to thank my wife, Tyler, for all of her support throughout the past three years. In addition to first helping me decide to pursue law school and attend WVU Law, she has been a constant source of love and strength during my education. And while she always encourages me to challenge myself academically, she also has challenged me to maintain balance and a well-rounded life during my law school education.
