Favorite law school memory

My favorite memories were made with Francesca Rollo, Haley Robb, and Brian Bowen anytime we were together (usually in room 141 when we were running on caffeine, sugar, and very little sleep). But, the number one memory has to be winning the Halloween costume contest as three peas in a pod with Haley and Francesca.

Inspiration

Before law school, I worked with the lawyers at the United Community Housing Coalition who represented tenants facing eviction. There, I saw the impact legal representation on families' lives and I decided to come to law school because I wanted to fight for WV communities and families in a similar way.

Special thanks

I would like to thank my family for being endlessly supportive and encouraging. I'd especially like to thank my mom, Cathy Leichner, for the sacrifices she made to give me every opportunity to succeed and for reading the parenting book "A Strong Willed Child" then encouraging me to be me. Thank you to all of my friends who have hyped me up when I needed it. And to Francesca, Haley, and Brian, thanks for making every long day of school feel like I was just hanging out with my friends. Your friendship is the best thing that law school gave me. Finally, thank you to the faculty and staff of the WVU COL for investing in your students and building a community that I am so proud to be a part of.

Thank you to my fiance, Brennan, for encouraging me to study for the LSAT and go to law school, going on every campus visit with me, coming to countless law school events, celebrating every little success of mine, and being my voice of reason through it all.
