Favorite law school memory

My favorite memories are just helping out around the law school through Student Life & Admissions.

Inspiration

I've wanted to be a lawyer since I was 10. However, the injustices faced by African Americans in this country has given me purpose; people like: Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, Tamir Rice, Freddie Gray, Sandra Bland, Eric Garner, Philando Castile, Alton Sterling... and the list goes on.

Special thanks

I thank God above all. Cheryl & William Thompson, thank you for supporting my dreams in every way. You got me here and no words could amount to my gratitude for you. I'm blessed to call you mom and dad, your sacrifices allowed me every opportunity. I love you and I love to make you proud. I thank my brothers Tim, Quentin, & Chris for your support. Growing up with you all made me tough.

Aunt Gina and Uncle Leo, thank you for taking me under your wings during my time in West Virginia. You treated me as your own and I never lacked love and guidance. I owe a great thank you to Assistant Dean Tina Jernigan, Professor Jena Martin, Alice Foley & Elissa Momen! You all believed in me and didn't let me fall while I was here and I couldn't be more grateful.Stephen Scott & Karissa Blackburn you two made family from day one and made sure I made it through 1L.

Without you all, I wouldn't have made it!

Thank you!
