Jackson Kelly is nationally recognized for having more women associates per office than average, and they have one of seven firms with African American partners in Pittsburgh. Their commitment to diversity was one of the driving factors in my decision to work there.

They took us whitewater rafting, and hosted dinners and tours of clients’ places of business – they had a very thorough summer plan. If I were to give advice to a first-year student looking for a summer position, I would recommend putting out as many applications as possible, and researching each firm to identify their values and what they are known for.
