Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, a firm of seven offices statewide, continued its rich tradition of support when its partners created the Steptoe & Johnson Professorship of Law, established to promote greater use of technology in the practice of law. The firm is a recognized leader in serving clients through its use of advanced communications and technology systems. On October 11, 2000, during a formal dedication held at the Law Center, three graduates of the College: managing partner, Robert M. Steptoe, Jr. ‘70, Patrick D. Deem ‘69, and James M. “Jeep” Wilson ‘68, had the honor of unveiling the bronze plaque recognizing this commitment made by the partners of Steptoe & Johnson. Additional past major contributions to the law school have included an annual law scholarship and the creation of the Steptoe & Johnson Mini-Courtroom.
