Visiting Students
WVU Law accepts visiting students (also known as transient students) from other law schools accredited by ABA. A visiting student is someone who has completed, or will complete, most of their J.D. coursework at another ABA-approved institution and will ultimately receive their degree from that school.
Visiting students may earn a limited number of credits toward their J.D. while temporarily enrolled at WVU Law, provided they receive approval from both their home institution and WVU Law’s Enrollment Management Office. All requests to attend WVU Law as a visiting student must be submitted through the Enrollment Management Office.
Tuition and Aid
Please refer to our Cost of Attendance page for current tuition and fee information. Transfer and visiting students are not eligible for WVU Law merit scholarships, but they are encouraged to explore federal student loans and/or external scholarship opportunities to help finance their legal education at WVU Law.
