CCLE is the only center of its kind on the East Coast and the only one that is a collaboration between two universities. Its core mission is to serve the public, policy makers, and partner groups by:
- Educating consumers through outreach efforts focused on financial literacy and dissemination of consumer resource materials.
- Developing original scholarship and research to address emerging issues in consumer law and policy.
- Educating students through experiential learning opportunities and courses on consumer law and policy.
- Helping with the coordination of efforts, resources, and education of other interested partners in West Virginia and nationally.
