Legal Databases
Our legal research databases are available to WVU Law students, faculty, and staff.
Most databases can be accessed automatically when connected to the law school wifi. For off-campus use, databases require either WVU login information or custom usernames/passwords.
Research Databases
Bloomberg Law
Provides comprehensive legal content and practice-area insights with the addition of Bloomberg BNA and search and alert tools that are seamlessly integrated with Bloomberg’s world-class news and market and company information.
HeinOnline
Contains multiple library collections, such as the Law Journal Library, Code of Federal Regulations, Federal Register Library, Manual of Patent Examining Procedure, Treaties and Agreements Library, U.S. Attorney General Opinions, and U.S. Supreme Court Library. Many of these libraries contain information dating back to the early 1200s. All images in HeinOnline represent the exact page image of the original materials, and multiple searching capabilities greatly enhance research.

Provides comprehensive access to legal content including primary sources, secondary sources, and the Shepard’s citator.
ProQuest Congressional
Provides comprehensive access to U.S. legislative information including House and Senate reports and documents, hearings, committee prints, bills, laws, legislative histories, and more.
ProQuest Legislative Insight
Creates thoroughly researched compilations of federal legislative histories.
ProQuest Regulatory Insight
Provides researchers with workflow solutions to facilitate research tasks associated with administrative law. As a companion to Legislative Insight, Regulatory Insight offers U.S. federal administrative law histories beginning in 1936, organized by federal statute and Executive Order.
ProQuest Supreme Court Insight
Collects full opinions from all Supreme Court argued cases, including per curiam decisions, dockets, oral arguments, joint appendices and amicus briefs, dating from 1933. Supreme Court Insight is a companion product and offers links from case-specific records to Legislative Insight and Regulatory Insight.
Westlaw
Provides comprehensive access to legal content including primary sources, secondary sources, and the KeyCite citator.

Aspen Learning Library
Contains over 200 digital study aids, including Examples & Explanations, Glannon Guides, CrunchTime, and much more. Audio and video study aids are also included.
West Academic Study Aids Collection
Contains digital copies of study aids like Black Letter Outlines, Hornbooks, and Nutshells. Audio and video study aid options are also included.
