A professorship to honor the late Hale J. and Roscoe P. Posten, Morgantown lawyers and brothers, is funded by a $150,000 gift over a period of three years by four family members, Mrs. Carol Miller of Baltimore, MD, Mrs. Pat Noyes of Hershey, Pa., Robert P. Reineke of Lexington, Ky, and a fourth member who wishes to remain anonymous.
Reinke is a graduate of the College of Law as were Hale and Roscoe Posten. Income from the permanent endowment is used principally to supplement the salary of the Hale J. and Roscoe P. Posten Professor of Law. Up to 20 percent of the income may be used for research assistants, secretarial service and professional travel by the holder.
This support enables the College of Law to retain qualified faculty as well as to recruit top-level teachers from other schools and attract exceptional individuals from private practice.
