Fitzsimmons Center for Litigation and Advocacy
At the Fitzsimmons Center for Litigation and Advocacy, we train students to become strong legal advocates and litigators. Through our curriculum, you’ll hone your lawyering skills to not only understand and analyze the applicable substantive and procedural law, but also translate that knowledge into effective written and oral advocacy during the litigation process.
Area of Emphasis in Civil Litigation and Advocacy
As part of the center, you take courses that integrate both foundational legal knowledge and practical training to advance these essential lawyering skills. If you are interested in concentrating your studies in this area, you can complete an Area of Emphasis in Civil Litigation and Advocacy.
Continuing Legal Education
The Center also helps support and enhance the practice of law in the state and region. We develop and offer continuing legal education for the bench and bar.
Our team, including the director and fellows, works with various organizations within the bench and bar to develop customized training and curricula for practitioners.
To inquire about our continuing legal education program for your organization, please reach out to the director.
