Center for Consumer Law and Education

Our Center for Consumer Law and Education helps level the playing field between individuals and companies to ensure fairness, safety, and trust in the marketplace. As students, you help serve the public, policymakers, and partner groups to shape a future where consumer rights are not just protected but celebrated. We are a center where knowledge meets action, and consumers are at the heart of our advocacy.

Our Services

  1. Inform consumers

on financial literacy and legal resources.
  2. Develop original

scholarship and research on consumer issues.
  3. Focus on

experiential learning opportunities and courses on consumer law and policy.
  4. Collaborate with

entities across West Virginia and the country to strengthen consumer protection laws.

A Collaboration for Consumers

Housed at WVU Law, CCLE is the only center of its kind on the East Coast and the only one that is a collaboration between two universities, West Virginia University and Marshall University.
