BORROWING LIBRARY MATERIALS

Circulation Policy

Public Patrons may check out circulating books for the duration of three weeks. Books may be renewed. Renewals may be made by stopping by/calling the Library Circulation Desk at 304-293-5300, or via  email. Public Patrons may check out up to five items at a time, with a maximum of two CD sets. It is the responsibility of the borrower to know when library materials are due and to return or renew them on or before the due date.

Law Library Borrower’s Card

Public Patrons must have a Law Library Borrower’s Card. To apply for a card patrons should visit the Circulation Desk and bring ID. Borrower’s Cards are good for one year and may be renewed annually. There is no charge for a Law Library Borrower’s Card. For information on obtaining a Resident Borrower’s Card for other WVU Libraries visit  WVU Libraries Resident Borrower Policies .

Non-Circulating Materials

Many items such as Journals, Reporters, and Loose Leaf binders do not circulate. Patrons may use these items in the Library and make copies/scans of needed sections. Please ask at the Circulation Desk if you have questions about the status of an item or for assistance using the copier or scanner.
