High School Minority Law Day
The program allows high school students the opportunity to spend a day at the law school and participate in a mock trial activity. The students are given an opportunity to interact with law professors and students to introduce them to the legal field. The goal of the program is to expose young students to the legal profession and provide them with a chance to ask questions.
Bridging the Gap
“Bridging the Gap” is designed to introduce students of color to opportunities available at the WVU College of Law and to recruit students who will contribute to the cultural diversity of the law school?s learning environment. The program introduces prospective law students to the process of gaining law school admission and to law school culture post-admission. It also offers exposure to law school culture by providing a simulated law class and opportunities to meet and interact with WVU College of Law faculty and students.
Admitted Student Luncheon
The admitted student luncheon is where current law students share their experiences about law school. The weekend is filled with informal informational sessions and social events to acclimate the admitted students to life at West Virginia University College of Law.
